The only time your statement was correct was regarding Ibuki because she turned out to be a really amazing character.

With Alex you have people like Gunfight, World Combo, and even TwistedRivera championing these characters. The majority of these characters were picked up by somebody and have become synonymous with them as players. For season 1 and 2? With a few exceptions not at all.
